How Can I Time My Wireless Internet Use?

I want to set my laptop to turn off its wireless internet connection at a certain time. However, I do not want to do it through my router; I would much rather be able to set it with a timer of some sort from my laptop. Are there any programs that can do this? I would love freeware programs, but shareware or payware is good, too. Any help is appreciated.
