I was taking a drink of water, and with the last few drops in the cup i saw small white worms?

i was drinking a tall gl of water, and i set it down a couple of times. once on my shelf by my fan, and once on the floor my my bed. i noticed something floating in it earlier, but just figured it was a small particle of food and kept drinking. in the last drops in the cup, i looked more closely and noticed there were 2 small white wiggling worms. they arn't very long, and look kind of like tiny maggots. i am worried i ingested these, and am wondering where the heck they came from. this makes me very paranoid. can anyone give me some answers? :(
